Have you ever wondered what top mistakes photographers see couples make?  Here is your guide to avoiding those!

For those of you who don’t know, my husband is a coffee roaster and our house is consistently filled with the sweet aroma of freshly brewed coffee.  Guests come to visit and see bags and bags of different roasts and origins all over our kitchen.  It’s like we have our own little quaint coffee shop in the house.  When we first started dating, hanging out at Starbucks was one of our favorite things to do.  We felt so sophisticated in our early twenties and thought Starbucks was the epitome of great coffee.  Flash forward almost 9 years later and we almost never step foot in there but we still love hanging out and feeling worldly.  With our new found coffee expertise, we’ve been able to find some great places in and around New Orleans.  So if you LOVE coffee or just want to check out a new place with the person you love, you need to see these coffee shops in New Orleans!

  1. Stumptown

I love the vibe of this place.  It looks modern but feels old-school.  They have plenty of seating and a small menu of food items to go along with that pour-over.  Depending on what time of day you go there could easily be a line outside the door.  If you have trouble finding it, just look for the Ace Hotel.
    Recommended Drink: Nitro Cold Brew

  2. Spitfire

If you love cute little cafes, this one’s for you!  With high-quality roasts and super friendly staff, this is easily one of my favorite places.   They even add dried rose petals to their drinks and that made the artist in me so happy! Stop in when you’re in the French Quarter but make sure you get that drink to go since there isn’t a lot of seating options.
    Recommended Drink: Mexican Vanilla Latte

  3. Mammoth Espresso

Located in New Orleans’ Warehouse District, Mammoth has some creative drinks and cool decor.  With menu items like Sweet Little Thing and Metairie Mule, you know you’re in for a treat!  They’ll even make drink recommendations based on a short survey, for fun!
    Recommended Drink: Espresso Tonic

  4. Congregation Cofee Roasters

I love walking into a cafe and seeing a roaster in the back.  It doesn’t get fresher than that!  I suggest ordering your coffee to go and taking a short stroll down to the river if it’s a beautiful day.  They have pastries, baguettes, and brunch if you’d like to sit and take in the atmosphere.
    Recommended Drink: Mocha

  5. Coffee Science

A nice family business in a large space that feels like you’re walking into a house, Coffee Science is a down-to-earth place with a large backyard to hang out in.  Out of all of the cafes, I’d say they have the best food options like breakfast tacos and pastries from Gracious Bakery. The only downside is the not so great parking situation. But you easily forget the parking struggle after talking to the friendly staff and enjoying melt in your mouth goodness.
    Recommended Drink: Venetian Cream
