What a FANTASTIC wedding this was!  I’m so sad that it’s over.  I get to know my clients on such a personal level over the year I work with them that when everything’s over, it feels bittersweet.  Kaylee and Jacob are such a fun-loving couple and their wedding was exactly that.  From the time they started getting ready, to the time the reception was over, it was like one big party!  Their wedding took place at one of my favorite venues, White Oak Estate and Gardens in Baton Rouge.  This place has arguably the best staff and food of any other Baton Rouge venue.  I’ve seen couples get waited on hand and foot, not ever having to request anything.  It’s such a joy to watch the clients I love to get treated with such care by all their vendors.

The day started as most do, we arrived at the getting ready location and started shooting details.  It was a beautiful day and everything seemed to be going smoothly.  My second shooter headed to the groom’s location for some getting ready shots and we planned to meet at the venue for the first look.  However, when it came time to leave we were hit with a huge storm.  It started pouring, I mean literally POURING!  It got so bad that the roads flooded and we all started to get a little bit nervous.  As we ran all of our gear into the building to keep it from getting wet, I noticed a 4-foot area that hadn’t been touched by the rain. It was on the corner of the porch, just far away enough so guests wouldn’t see.  I knew it was perfect!  So we were resourceful and worked with what we had and it turned out great!  Kaylee and Jacob didn’t even notice the rain when they saw each other.  They embraced so sweetly and we all looked at each other with heart eyes.  They were total #coupleGoals.

The team at the White Oak moved everything indoors just in time for the ceremony.  What once was the reception site turned into a beautiful ceremony site with a fireplace focal point and gorgeous florals.  We couldn’t have asked for anything better!  By the time the night was over, there had been multiple dance competitions, guests singing their hearts out, and a truly wonderful bubble exit for a couple that deserved the best!  Check it out below.
