Guys… I have happy tears as I write this. I truly didn’t want this night to end! Kaitlyn and Colby’s friends and family were so much fun and their attention to sweet details made my job as their photographer even more special. Kaitlyn and Colby both lost their fathers and found lovely ways to incorporate them on the wedding day. It was such an honor to be able to celebrate with these families and create memories for them to pass down to their children and grandchildren. Everything was so perfect that day! I just loved Colby’s reaction to seeing his bride-to-be for the first time in her gorgeous gown. It reminded me of a kid on Christmas morning! So sweet! The ceremony took place at Ashley Manor, a contemporary barn and reception location. Kaitlyn and Colby had a seat decorated for each of their fathers in the front aisle, complete with baseball caps and photos of special moments. It was like they were there with them. I literally had to focus on the task at hand to keep from crying. They both giggled as they exchanged vows and finally shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Since they did a first look we were able to roll right into the reception without any delays (grooms love this). And as they partied for the next few hours, I was reminded of that “just married” feeling and how we should all strive to hang on to that. Even as your relationship grows and changes, keep that feeling close always. I know these two will!
